Cocktail +laptop keyboard+ cat that likes to knock crap over So it works again but the keys seem kind of sticky inside. Warranty expired. Do I need to take it in? Is there any way to clean it?

I mean I have to probably take it somewhere to get the m key reattached (although it works fine without it).
Agh, and all morning I thought my wallet got left in another town, but either my roommate found it and put it on the table or I had a massive case of space head. I am so glad I didn't just start canceling things.

Replacement keyboards are so cheap nowadays, I just buy a new one even on my measly budget.

I've done this myself (lemon tea with sugar). The keyboard is never the same again. Keys stick unpredictably and while it is quite fun reading the resulting text, it's pretty annoying when you're trying to work to a deadline!
Try one of these Microsoft keyboards, ethylene. I love this keyboard - it's comfy and strangely intuitive to use. I have been buying these for the last 8 years and they're great. They're also cheap enough that you can replace them every couple of years when they inevitably start getting sticky keys ... :-)

Do mac laptop keys pop off and back on like other keyboard keys? I'd google but I'm too tired. If so, I'd just pop the keys off and clean with a damp rag underneath. Grab a picture first so you can put them back on in the right places. I did this with a standard PC keyboard and it was fine, though the larger keys (spacebar, etc.) were trickier to put back on.
