Ah, the 280Z(X)... In 1977, I was working as Radio Sidekick and one of the station's salesmen got me a deal on a little subcompact economy B-210 'Honey Bee' with a Datsun dealer he had sold a ton of commercial time to. He gave me a ride in his Brand New '78 Z car (which he also got a deal on) to the dealer to introduce me to them and test drive the little yellow econobox, and that one ride made my new car feel so lame in comparison. And that was when "Japanese Sports Car" was still considered an oxymoron.

I haven't liked the Z cars since the first generation but those early ones are great.

Personally I'm annoyed. I've never said the word "awesome" in its popular usage. If I did, what the hell would I utter if I ever, say, stared up at Mount Everest?
