Total change of tack: Can you list movies and music of broad undeniable beauty, if not transformational or spiritual, in a way that is accessible to laypeople?[More:] Stunning visuals, storylines, overwhelming emotional qualities of a positive nature?

Wasteland is one of the most beautiful and transforming films I have seen of late. It contains all of the criteria you listed above.

I like Enchanted April, seen it tons of times, find it very comforting.

I'm thinking more blow your mind on acid, but not in a Clockwork Orange/The Wall/Equus kind of way.

Animation may be good.

Damn, where is that old Bjork DVD of mine. I don't know where anything is.
