We're going out to eat curried goat. What're y'all doing tonight?
Left over pulled pork here.

I'm ordering in a pizza and playing video games.

I'm an adult.

Pizza and Sherlock Holmes with the middle schoolers at Marc's church. Pizza, mmmmmmmm.

Just about to head off to bed. I'm tired, it's been a busy week.

Recording a song that's been bugging me for the last few weeks.

"Twilight Zone" and vegetable gyoza with broccoli. Do a sinkful of dishes. Take a long bath with a nice thick mystery novel. Put a deep blue streak in my hair. Snuggle down with a blanket and that same mystery novel. Write a few pages.

If I manage to do any two of these, I'll count it a good night.

Seeing if I can find a cotton jacket that isn't a hoodie, eating at a Roadfood recommended place in Green Bay, driving to Milwaukee.

Put the garbage together and watch Grimm. The rest is up in the air.

Alton Brown's Meatloaf recipe with some modification. Less hot pepper and a hoisin ketchup glaze.

Grilled cheese sandwich and either television or radio/book.

Mealwise: Roast veggies with a spinach curry sauce. I finally found a store that sells small containers of plain yogurt. Yay!

I [heart] curried goat.

We went to IHOP and are now having adult beverages and listening to "The Thistle & Shamrock" on the radio to get our Irish on. Although we're probably going to tune it out and put the Black Keys on at any second.

I was out all day and had a big yummy lunch of a chicken enchilada in spinach & pepper sauce with a bowl of tortilla soup, so tonight I'll just eat something light

Neighborhood BYOB party in the courtyard behind Peppi's Sandwich Shop. Once a month all the neighbors get together and hang out and drink at one of the restaurants in the area. Tonight it was cheese steaks and wine.

Just got home from the divination share and there's one card from my new faerie deck that has been flinging out of the damn deck at me ALL DAMN NIGHT. So I need to meditate on that for a while.

And so, I'm drinking. My mom says I should be over at her house by 9 tomorrow because there's a yard sale she wants to go to. I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

Feeling grief and considering the future. In particular, circling warily around the idea that I can now say yes to doing some of the things that were impractical before. This loss has thrown me off-balance, but I'm hoping it has the potential to tip me in the direction of something good.

Had an early dinner at Denny's, just watched the first half of season two of the Big Bang Theory (shut up) and am now going to try out the weekend trial of Star Wars: The Old Republic.

PS: I've never had goat, but I would try it. If it's similar to lamb I won't like it.

We tend to be way behind on shows, too. We're nearing the end of the 2nd season of Parks & Recreation and from some of the chatter I hear online (though I try to ignore it) I fear this is the series' peak. I wish it could go on like this because it's so damn good right now.

Seems like it should be about time for a new season of BBT to come out on DVD. I think we've seen up through season 4.

Goat is like lamb, gamier, stronger and more ...oily. a really slow cooked curry is great for goat,

Feeling grief and considering the future.

Oh no. Is this related to your cat being ill a few days ago, notquitemaryann? Or something else?

BoP, since my MiL moved in and got the required training from a local, I have curried goat on tap - it is my standard meal. So don't you be trying to impress me with no curried goat.

We saw the locally-produced version of Nixon in China. It was good. . strange. My wife hated it with a passion, and one of the really fun things about the evening was hearing her go on and on about it and me gently goading here to keep talking about it.

Update: Cold meatloaf on potato bread with barbecue sauce for lunch.

danf, I've never seen the opera but I love John Adam's music. What did she hate about it?

BP, we've seen a lot of BBT on TV but it's all reruns and I have no idea what we have or haven't seen. I also have season one on order, but I was wayyy down the list but figured it didn't really matter if we watched season two first (I'm now, finally, at 30-something). We're watching BSG as well, but are still waiting on season 2.0 (I picked up 2.5 yesterday, but have to wait 'til we get 2.0. It's been "in transit" for three days - GRAR!)

*ahem*

It seems like I wouldn't like goat, but I'd still be willing to give it a try. Y'all don't know how much of a concession that is for me. I used to never try anything out of the ordinary. I even tried brussels sprouts (along with lamb) a few years ago. I don't like them, but at least I can say I tried.

Curried goat sounds wonderful. I had an enormous pork tenderloin with shallot mayo and fresh chips.

I missed the last Walking Dead and apparently it was a biggie.

octothorpe. . .she hated the subject. . .Nixon is not very big in our household, plus the first act, with all the diplomacy, turned her off. I thought that it was pretty interesting. Neither of us are really expert on modern music, but I sort of went with it and she didn't.
