I'm afraid that 7 nights a week karaoke would mean that there'd be at least 6 nights I week that I wished there was a good band playing.

I'd be willing to accept MORE than one night of karaoke a week, though, because I am normally pretty easy going.

Having a mike is kareoke enough. If you got the guts, grab the mike.

It's 2-3 years crazy hard work, but it could be fun.

You would suggest this right when I've started a no-alcohol diet.

I'm equidistant from LA and SF, and have had no luck making this place a central hub for anything. Correction: I have MADE NO EFFORT making this place a central hub for everything. Although, with the 4-bedroom rental house next door now vacant, it would have potential as an interim Mech Mansion while we make bigger plans (and you can see a couple Manses in the hills near here). Downtown SLOtown* has a veritable plethora of cool and attempted-cool places to eat and/or drink (including my favorite obscure reference named pub EVER, the Frog and Peach). And a few miles away is the bar whose picture is on the Wikipedia page for "Dive Bar". I could be enticed to putting myself in training to be your bartender, since I won't be drinking along with you any more than Sam Malone on Cheers did.

Would this be a MetaBar, MechaBar, MechaPub or BunniesBar?
