This is one my favorite songs of the year so far. I'm hit and miss with Stephin Merritt (he always interesting, but much of his catalog has a short shelf life with me), but I cannot stop playing this damn song.

The Fella brought home the new album --- and by "brought home," I mean it made it as far as the car, so I've only listened to it once through.

I keep buying new Magnetic Fields and probably always will, but so far none of their work has hit home with me the way 69 Love Songs did. But this one just might.
