Dooley the Dog Survives 53 Days in the Wild→[More:]Dooley disappeared after a car accident killed the driver's husband and Delaney, their other dog and left the driver, Ms. Bagley, in critical condition.
This is great. Showed my wife this morning. I've driven through there several times, and while it's not very wild, it is quite desolate out there. Battle Mountain is a little town in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. There's some industrial stuff, and what I think is a power plant, but other than that it's pretty much just Nevada desert scrub. They have hopeful signage there extolling the recreational virtue of the area, but it's definitely not something you'd go out of your way for. I'm glad Dooley made it, and can be a comfort to his human friend. Dogs are definitely awesome, and better than people.
