This was created for me by webcomicker Brad Guigar when he was making icons for everyone who participated regularly in his Evil Inc. forums. Being a comic about supervillains, he put us all into some character - for me, he put me in a fat Batman costume from which I could easily detach the head for other purposes (which I DID get permission to do)

This was my 'creation', in the style of R. Stevens' "Diesel Sweeties" 8-bit-ish characters, altered from a one-shot character who looked a little like me. In all fairness, I also put 'Wendell Sweetie' into one of the t-shirts he sells.

and one taken of me in 1980, when I was a fat accountant for a company that made trophies and awards... so I definitely wanted to be pictured holding a real fracking OSCAR.

I love this picture. Because I look like a WolfDaddy, with the coffee mug to prove it. Taken last year in NOLA with a bunch of Mefites that got together almost at random ... and after about 48 hours of non-stop eating and drinking.

(wooden shoes are not so great when there's snow and it's around 0 degrees Celsius I can tell you: the snow attaches to the wooden soles until you have more than 30 cm of snow under each foot. Which is pretty heavy and cumbersome.)

Kronos' teleporter picture is great! Great idea and great execution.

Wendell has an astounding assortment of profile pictures.

Bluesaphires wears a cheery summer dress in front of the library. Communicating both social charm and brainy bookishness. Very clever.
I'm less subtle by standing in front of my bookcase: a very unsubtle signaling that I'm Cultured! (secretly I'm embarassed that the only readable title is Infinite Jest. Oh, the narcissism of the middle class)
But it's the only part of my house that I dare show. The rest is, let's say, more of a bachelor pad.

Heh, that photo is about the only one of me that I like. It was taken while I was speaking at a conference by a professional photographer - he was lying on the floor and I was on a stage.
