A land without waffles? Can this be true? UK bunnies, do you not have waffles in your fine nation? I had no idea and I'm kind of sad now.

I find it hard to believe that waffles don't exist there. I mean, Belgium is nearby (relatively).

They have waffles. They just call them "lorries."

Actually, I think it may be an anti-Belgian thing, lingering from the reign of King Leopold. That guy didn't care who he pissed off.

We do have them, but making them at home is not really a Thing. The Waffle House (apologies for annoying flash website) used to be one of my favourite places to go when I was a kid.

We have them, but usually they're ready-made, in the bakery section of the supermarket, and you heat them up in the toaster. They're not very nice. We also have Birds Eye Potato Waffles, which are, as you may already know, waffley versatile.

They're less popular here than in the US or Belgium, but we definitely have them.
