66. When I lived on Erdmannstraße in Berlin, David Bowie and Iggy Pop lived in an apartment in the building that backed up against the building containing the flat that I and a pal rented. One morning, I came out of my bedroom and tripped over Bowie, who was lying on my living room floor. There had been a party the night before, and apparently my flatmate had been supplying the coke. I never did get the whole story, though. I was kind of on a "wave and say hi" neighbor basis. Used to see them occasionally in the restaurant on the corner between our buildings.
