Left-wing cat craze takes Israeli cyberspace by storm not to get all Trotskyite but lolcats like these should be the international symbol of the 'left' everywhere. lol

That is some insider humor there.

I like the idea but I just didn't know enough to laugh at most of these (except wearing local costume). I think we could do better.

yeah I don't really follow their politics but I can kinda guess; there's things related to the occupied territories and I think the 'demographic threat' is about fertility rates of different social groups (arabs, less-european types of jews) affecting the 'national character'.. there's the women's clothing/social conservatism issue... and the cyprus court wedding vs jewish wedding I can kinda guess.. definitely a couple of them I completely blank on though
