DJ Earworm's United State of Pop 2011: A mashup of the top 25 pop songs of 2011 on the U.S. charts. (Found via WolfDaddy on Twitter.)[More:] DJ Earworm does one of these every year, and they're brilliant at making a single moment out of our increasingly fractured and micro-marketed pop culture world.

Here are some previous years:
2010
2009 (seems to be a favorite on YouTube)
2008
2007

The older ones definitely don't have the seamlessness of his current mixes.

You can find a link to download the MP3 of each mashup on each video's page.
Cool. But Pitbull stills needs to be put down for suckage.

He's my favorite but this year's mix is missing something for me, which makes me sad as I was looking forward to it.

If anyone is a Bootie mashup fan, the Best of Bootie 2011 is out. The previous years ones are here.

2008 & 2009 were my favorites. I do like how he uses Perry's "boom boom boom" to ground the mashup similar to using Coldplay's string arrangement in 2008 for that mashup. However, as the years wear on, it's obvious the United State of Pop is really The Auto-Tuned State of Pop and this is a trend that needs to go away now. I mean, I was over it with Cher, what, 10 years or more ago?
