Christmas with the Lennon Sisters. The Lennon Sisters, you may remember, were 4 sisters who sang very close harmony for many years on the Lawrence Welk television show.

Whoever was in charge of this album seems determined to cover every aspect of 1960s U.S. Christmas in 13 songs; it careens wildly from the sacred to the profane and back again. Here are 4 representative songs.

Secular: Winter Wonderland.

Somewhat religious: O Little Town of Bethlehem.

Full-on religious: Adeste Fideles.

And way back to secular with my personal favorite: Christmas Island. It's possible that my love for islands and things tropical started with this song.
