First determine which areas provide the local services you need.

Perhaps connect with local mefites who can give you that insider knowledge.

Then look for listings in your price range.

Awesome, so happy to hear you made it to Seattle. I agree with what was said upthread: use your meta/mecha resources to determine which is the best area for you to live in, then hit up craigslist.
