Downside of fall. Spent three hours raking and bagging leaves and then put away all the planters and wind chimes. Upside[More:] The final roses of the season are the most perfectly formed.
I have to do leaves tomorrow or Sunday. By the time Monday comes, the back yard will look like I haven't bothered. That's the downside of living by a forest, and where my neighbour has a massive oak tree in his garden.

But I have a leaf vac, and found out last year that I could buy a wheel that clips on the bottom of the spout, so it makes it so much easier, just wheeling it round the yard.

I won a leaf blower about a month ago but it said it would arrive in about 6 weeks. Just a bit late for this year.

Is composting a prevalent practice over there? Just curious. A couple of my clients use leaves to balance out their piles, which have no smell whatsoever!

I do compost at home but we have so many leaves most go to the city compost.

My leaves go into my green bin and are collected by the council for composting.

I filled the bin and 16 bags.
