Happy 11/11/11! (More eleven: The Eleven. I think this is even in 11/4 time.)

Meanwhile, many sci-fi fans are celebrating The Eleventh Doctor Day. If you see a lot of bow-ties, fezes and stetsons, that's why. (Because they're cool)

That "well it's one louder isn't it?" still cracks me up. Reminds me of bands I worked with. Kiss did their Love Gun tour with a huge wall of fake fender 2x2 boxes stacked 4 high behind them so bands wanted to stack all their sound re-enforcement behind them and it was crazy hard to get the idea of a feedback loop across.

I love that movie, though it seems most of my friends do not. It's sort of a tricky movie to watch, though. It's a funny movie, but it's not the kind of movie that will cheer you up. You have to already be in a good mood to enjoy it, I think.

And I always think that Marty DiBergi's question, "Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?" is the one line of dialogue in the entire movie that actually makes any sense.

I have to admit, though, that while I like Spinal Tap an awful lot, it doesn't get the full-on belly laughs from me that Best In Show does.
