That "well it's one louder isn't it?" still cracks me up. Reminds me of bands I worked with. Kiss did their Love Gun tour with a huge wall of fake fender 2x2 boxes stacked 4 high behind them so bands wanted to stack all their sound re-enforcement behind them and it was crazy hard to get the idea of a feedback loop across.
I love that movie, though it seems most of my friends do not. It's sort of a tricky movie to watch, though. It's a funny movie, but it's not the kind of movie that will cheer you up. You have to already be in a good mood to enjoy it, I think.
And I always think that Marty DiBergi's question, "Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?" is the one line of dialogue in the entire movie that actually makes any sense.
