A while back I heard a "New Country" song or whatever they call it these days. Shit I can't tolerate but something was off with it. I heard it again and yes it was off kilter. →[More:] Finally found it. Lady Gaga.

The video reminds me of the first time I saw Gene Simmons without make-up, both the look and the music. I'm assuming the blonde is Gaga.

Oy. I know a lot of people who respect Lady Gaga so I try not to get opinionated. But there's nothing there I'm interested in.

I like the song (it hits all my "fun pop" measures) but I did think it was by Shania Twain or someone similar and preceded to go "you're kidding" when I heard it was Lady G.

With this and her recently well-received duet with Tony Bennett in which she played the 40's chanteuse fairly well, it seems obvious that she's just aiming for being able to say "I did everything". Looking forward (not) to her take on Death Metal.

The video is awesome. Gaga subverts another genre. The song, audio alone, doesn't do anything for me, but dang, quelle video.
