I read something on this earlier (re: gender selective abortions in India) that mentioned that not only are urine tests for determining fetus gender inconclusive, but that urine from healthy (non-pregnant) adults has no gender-specific discriminator. Estrogen levels are only an indicator, not a true discriminator. I tried to research this further but got too many hits for beating drug tests.
