I'm pretty definitively not a TV series kind of person, nor a Sci-Fi guy (although if I had to choose, I guess I prefer zombies over aliens or vampires), and I've never read any of the graphic novels, but I randomly picked up Season 1 on DVD for super cheap while shopping for something else at a big box store and, well:

I've really, really enjoyed it. I honestly can't remember the last time I've looked forward to a tv event (other than say, sports or elections) this much.

Season one is only six episodes, so if you have the time, you can knock them out before tomorrow night's premiere. And then you can join BoPo and I in talking about it!

I'm so not a fan of that show.

I won't go into why because I don't want to spoil anything or harsh anyone's enjoyment. OKAY I WILL. j/k.

It has 3 or 4 good moments, and hey, it's only 6 episodes.

Mr. Cupcakes and I loved it, and I am a total zombie-phobe. It's pretty gruesome in parts, but it's strong point is that it doesn't focus on the gore as much as the human aspect. It's "thinking man's" horror, with emphasis on the characters and how they cope with the end of the world, both practically and emotionally. If you like horror, I highly recommend it.

The DVR is all set up and I'll get caught up during the week.

I heard the first episode of this new season is better than the whole last season. I can see that.

4 episodes in and besides a few minor quibbles, I'm liking it . I'll watch the rest this evening
