PUPPY DREAMS , for when the world is too much.
Love how he sleeps with a little stuffed human.

Here is a small dog falling asleep. Enjoy.

Oh, you know what else? This weekend I met a Hovawart, which is a breed I'd never met before. Here is a Hovawart falling asleep.

We met a new breed last week too - Klee Kai, or miniature Alaskan husky. Opinions were divided.

A regular at dogforums (Crantastic) has a Klee Kai. She describes him thusly:

Alaskan Klee Kai: Again, mine is a pretty typical AKK. I like the challenge, even though he can be frustrating at times. I like the stubbornness, the aloofness, the intelligence (he's not as quick to pick something up as my papillon, but he's no slouch). I like the crazy noises he makes -- the talking and howling especially. I like that he's energetic and always eager to go for a walk or to play, but that he has an off switch. I think he's a gorgeous dog, too, with his husky mask and his curly tail.

Howl, little puppy, howl!

The Klee Kai head is wrong. Too chihuahua shaped, not enough Husky shape. Other than that, I like the smaller option.

We've tried to get Kaylee to howl, but she won't, but she's howled twice that I'm aware of. Both times involved Bro#1's Schnauzer going ballistic when he knew my Bro was leaving him behind. That dog can hit a high C without a problem. No wonder Kaylee howls back at him.
