It is very sad but it was a bunny who's bravery should be remembered for all time (preferably in song imho).

toastedbeagle - that's exactly how I felt when I first saw this report. What sort of idiot leaves behind the animal who saved their life, to die in the fire?

This is the story that I saw originally - it reports that "in the confusion, the rabbit was left behind."

I could see this happening with my cat. Wake me up and then hide under the bed so I couldn't get to her. Poor bunny.
