My Grammy is the bestest!→[More:]Every year around this time, she sends each of her grandchildren a letter with a self-addressed stamp postcard, asking for life updates and things she can pray for us about. I got the letter today- I knew it was coming, because Aunt Pam in FL was talking about her boys rushing their postcards into the mail yesterday (in past years, the 1st to get their postcard to Grammy wins $10. When I lived in FL, I won every year. Now I think everyone gets $5). It starts:

Dear Grandchildren, I have been putting off this letter trying to think of something profound to say. But nothing comes to me. Meanwhile I have addressed the postcards and envelopes and am getting anxious to hear from each of you. A highlight of my hear! (I guess I need to get a life).

I hope I can be as cool when I have 14 grand- and 3 great-grandchildren (plus one on the way- my cousin is pregnant).
