The beer archaeologist "It’s just after dawn at the Dogfish Head brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where the ambition for the morning is to resurrect an Egyptian ale whose recipe dates back thousands of years."
Oh, I see this was posted on mefi a couple of months back. That's what I get for leaving my smithsonian mags in a pile to be read at a later date. Anyways.

Don't worry. The guys at Dogfish Head are freaking geniuses and everyone should know.

I've had one of the attempts at recreating the Egyptian "beers", but I have to say it wasn't to my taste. The Egyptians didn't have hops so the beer is rather sweet. The no hops stuff also seems to contradict everything I know about Dogfish Head as well...
