Also, I've been persuaded that I need to buy a new camera. Probably just a point and shoot; I'm no photog like you folks. But hey, if it means a return to Photo Fridays for me...?

My daughter collected this recently - a spiny oak slug. Fortunately she didn't get stung by it before we found about about its poisonous spines. My wife did get stung accidentally touching it. I may have too - its been my job to feed it for the last few days.
