For heard a Blood Sweat & Tears song this morning and decided to look them up. You have to admit this is an interesting band history. And look at the sheer number of names of people who have been in this band. At some point it's no longer a band, it's light industry.
Wow, I always thought that they ceased to be after Al Kooper left. They were always a bit to east-coast for my taste. .. :-) (Although the cover of "The Child is Father to the Man" was great.)

It's interesting that they credit as as inspiration for Chicago. Makes sense once you know that.

Wow, I had no idea. I only knew them from "Spinning Wheel" and "You Made Me So Happy", neither of which I particularly liked, so I never explored the band further. I was amazed to learn that Jaco Pastorius - the most gifted bass player ever - was in the band.

I've been laughing over this line ever since I read it this morning. I can think of a couple different bands you could say that about.

I love me some BS&T. "... and when I die, and when I'm gone, there'll be one child born, in this world, to carry on."

Yeah, I never really listened to them either.

But it's cool to think that in 1976 you could have seen a BST show with Jaco Pastorius playing bass and Mike Stern playing guitar. Whoa.
