The View From My Window (to steal from another blogger - but actually, it's the view from in front of my triplex where I have the back unit). So L.A.'s Carmageddon turned out to be no big deal... I have a worse traffic tie-up right here. Good thing I'm not going anywhere.

Most stunning observation: while I was sitting in the driveway with my camera, dozens of people in cars and trucks and RVs waved or yelled out a friendly greeting. Not ONE angry shout or middle finger. Maybe San Luis Obispo IS the happiest city in the USA.

(update: in the time it took me to upload everything and post this, the burning wreck has been cleared and traffic has returned to Sunday Afternoon normal)
