Youngergirl will love this. She LOVES owls ;-)

I had owl alarm clocks for a while. Two Great Horned Owls (at least 90% sure that is what they were...) hung around here all the time. They would perch on a large TV antenna outside of the house and wake me up at about 3:00-4:00 a.m. every single morning. They were neat to see but I was glad when they broke that habit so I could sleep. I think one of them lived in the very large oak tree in my yard until the ice storm did considerable damage to it a few years back. I very rarely hear one now but still occasionally at night I'll hear a call around somewhere close. I was a bit startled by how big they were the first time I saw them, I went outside with a flashlight to investigate and when I shined the light at them, they both flew off right above me.

There's a Little Owl in the forest here who keeps me awake at night.

I clicked through thinking, they're babies, they have to be cute. Spawn of Satan, these owls are. Even as babies they are so creepy!

They are cute and creepy at the same time! Because as cute as they are, they are predators, so I imagine they're thinking things like this:

Owl #1: Hmm... could I kill that guy, do you think?

Owl #2: I dunno... he's pretty big compared to you.

Owl #3: Do it.

Owl #4: He does look tasty.

Owl #1: Yeah. Still... he is big.

Owl #2: What if we attack him all together?

Owl #3: Do it.

Owl #4: He brings us food, though.

Owl #1: But we'd have a lot more food if we ate him.

Owl #2: I dunno... too difficult I think.

Owl #3: Do it.

Owl #1: Maybe later.

Owl #3: Do it.

Owl #1: ::blink::

Owl #3: ... Do it.

Owl #1: I will, ok, shut up.

Owl #3: Do it. Do it. Do it.

How can you say this isn't cute? It's adorable!
