And then I got hitched. →[More:]

It was a fantastic (short) ceremony and an even more fantastic (and much much longer) reception with super fantastic shoes.

The theme was Tanabata, 7/7/11, so we were married on a bridge surrounded by immediate family in a state park. The reception hall was decorated with paper streamers and paper lanterns and we asked guests to write us paper wishes instead of signing a guest book.

Mostly I'm glad the planning and list-making is over and the family has returned to their respective homes. I should get the certified marriage certificate tomorrow and then need to focus on all of the additional paperwork THAT involves.

Congratulations! I love your bouquet!

Thank you, my mom made them out of tissue paper! Super cheap and could be made ahead and fit the theme! She also made all of the reception decorations out of paper. Basically my mom is awesome.
