This up to 1000 years old snow has metamorphosed into highly pressurized glacier ice that contains almost no air bubbles. (Amazing photo)

This sort of thing exists a few miles from the house(s) I grew up in. That photo from Iceland is really nice, though.

I took photos of Stew in a little tunnel on the side of an iceberg frozen in place on the lake in winter.
