Serenity could be Deleted Thread Pony... but now that you've started doing MetaFilter Ponies, you HAVE to do the Blue, the Green, the Grey, Matt, Jess, Cortex (with donut), PB, Vaca, Nomad, (and some MVP members), Schmoopy, PepsiBlue (branded up like NASCAR), Plate of Beans, SleepViking (nightshirt and helmet), Cat-Scan (like a cat but flat), FTFY (with tool-belt), TLDR, NSFW, and for MeCha an OMGBunnie Pony... you have started something, now keep going!

I only have 3 horses (4 if you count Duchess, who we lost last year).

Like Firefly the Favorites Pony, I can go scribble these on the horses' actual bodies. I just don't know what symbol to use for Serenity :)

I think I'm done making My Little Ponies but others are welcome to add on with Blue, Green, Grey etc :) Oh! I meant to link it! Here is the My Little Pony creator,

If you're just looking for something to put on your IRL ponies, "More Inside" is good, or "1 new" or "SLYT" or one of the other short suggestions above. I am probably going to make some MeFi Little Ponies myself...

Okay, I was kind of manic last night and it looks like maybe a little incoherent. My apologies! I can try again:

For fun, I made My Little Ponies resembling my horses with "cutie marks" referring to Metafilter. I've done something similar before with the grey horse, drawing a [+] on her in chalk--often in MeTa pony request threads I post a picture of something vaguely related to the request (favorites pony, disaster pony, flag pony, etc). I either use old pics I already have, or go out and sort of pose the gang for a quick snapshot of whatever I think might be entertainingly related.

Firefly ended up as "Favorites Pony" because the blue chalk was most visible on her coat. I am going to dub Kat, my hyper-alert and jumpy mare, "Flag Pony" and get a pic of her with a "[!]" cutie mark sometime :)

Serenity is a draft cross, easygoing, heavy but shorter than the other two. I'd like to come up with some MeFi related symbol that I can mark on her body--which means it has to be pretty simplistic, text would be too hard--and get a pic of.

What other kind of symbol might work, like "[+]" and "[!]"?

Kronos, not sure why you'd be worried about your comment. There is something about donkeys, especially young donkeys, that is irresistibly adorable! Something like a cross between the wonderfulness of a horse and the cuteness of a bunny rabbit, I think. And I'm not sure if you noticed, but you managed to get very nearly the colors of my three horses in that pic: a grey, a dark brown, and a lighter brown!

granted my brown horses are bay and donkeys are dun, but we only need to go into that if we're being pedantic, and we're not

Ah! Figured out what happened. I found my thinking cap - It was next to my paranoid cap. Put the wrong one on! Switched them...all's well!
