Space Oddity 1974 Midnight Special - If you are a fan of Bowie's eyes, watch this. What I like about this video is it shows that Mick Ronson was Bowie's equal, and this is Bowie at his prime. For the fans of the 1970 era Bowie. Or, do you prefer 1969? fwap
Great memories, there. Thanks!
That was a great time for music on television, thanks to both Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's In Concert. (and his later, syndicated Rock Concert)

In the Ziggy Stardrust film by D.A. Pennebaker one of the first shots of Bowie is him talking to some people and the camera keeps zooming in on Bowie's face, but he keeps turning his head away. On the DVD commentary Pennebaker said he hadn't met Bowie yet, but heard he had two different colored eyes and was zooming in so he could see if it was true.

Ronson and Bowie together seemed absolutely unstoppable.

In my area, Midnight Special came on at 1 am, after the Friday night horror movie at 11:30, that I also loved. I was never worth much on Saturday mornings.
