Grar. I didn't really look at the Coachella line-up until recently, only to see I wanted to go, and the tickets are sold out, with serious 3rd party mark-ups available. I don't love it enough to pay $500(!), so Outside Lands sounded exciting, except ... it doesn't. Of the bands I like, I've seen most of them, and I'm not sure if I like them enough to see them at a festival.

Question to anyone who has gone before: how is it? I remember that the first year was chaotic and kind of awful at moments, with Radiohead's set having technical issues and being thronged by the masses, but I thought word was that it got better as the years went on.

I dunno. I was in town during one of them (didn't go) and the Park area, as well as the Haight seemed a bit more over-run.

And, while there IS public transportation, unlike Coachella, buses and trains will be really packed.
