Something about carpentry always makes me resort to puns that are real groaners.... I'm hanging some freshly painted doors at Swan's End today. It's a bit of a struggle because the 99-year-old door frames aren't too straight and some of the old doors are heavy. But at least when I'm done something in my house will be well-hung. Sorry. I just had to. Er, check out these new Trilby pics!

So a-door-able. I'm glad you're pleased with its knob, but does it swing both ways? Sounds like ajar-ing experience. A real jamb session. A Lock Mess monster. Like "The Walking Dead Bolt". Enough to make some people come unhinged. I'll be here all week because I've accidentally locked myself in.

I'm going to become a foster parent once I've got the house in reasonable shape, Ardiril.

I'm working on the hallways, hall closets and staircase at present. It will take some months yet because it's a big job involving the reconstruction of two closets and new flooring, but I will definitely post the usual before and after set of photos to Flickr when done, and link to it here.
