You're talking about wearing all neutrals, so you're really truly ok with anything. I'd go with red, but mainly just because I like red nail polish. Pink would also be pretty.

Something bold would be fun, but something neutral would be fine.

If you want to be hip, the "in" nail colors right now are nude (think Essie Jazz if you are a medium-toned white girl like me) or coral (this can be more on the pink or the orange side, but please don't make it metallic.

I think a classic toe color is a slightly transparent pale pink (also, not metallic) like Essie My Way. It makes your feet look clean but natural.

If you follow the french tip advice, everyone will puke all over your feet, probably. :)

Recently I was asked to be a bridesmaid at a massively upscale wedding and we were all required to get dark dresses, silver sandals, and French tips. I seemed to be the only person present who associated French tips with South Jersey and not at all upscale.

I did like the pink they used - it was from Essie, might have even been My Way - very sheer and pretty with little subtle sparkly flecks.
