I can't stop listening to Frightened Rabbit. [More:]

(Swearing in this one.)

For some reason I find them very comforting right now. They're also from Selkirk which is the little town my dad's sister has lived in for 40 years or so and not far from the even littler town where my dad grew up. So maybe I have some kind of genetic magnetic attraction to their bitter Scottishness.
Thanks for this! I love FatCat, and it's been a while since I've heard some good Scottish indie rock (or whatever it might be called today). Kind of like a more upbeat Arab Strap, in the most simple of analogies.

(Though The Shy Retirer sounds upbeat, with a dancy little beat, the lyrics are as depressed as ever. And be careful when searching for "arab strap" online - it's also a sexual device, FYI.)

Good band.

I myself am currently hooked on Crooked Sill, which I found out about via an FPP on the blue. But I think FR has just joined my queue.
