Good idea or great idea? I've got just enough room at the bottom of the last page of my Zoology lab on arthropods to print and paste this image and write "when do we get to this chapter?". →[More:]I have a full week to ponder this (yay Spring Break). FWIW, the instructor is maybe 3-4 years older than I am, has a decent sense of humor, and doesn't seem to take the class all that seriously. I should totally do this, right? RIGHT?

Having marked a lot of papers I'd say if you are a solid student who participates and turns in solid reports/papers/labs then YES. If you are lazy and turn in desultory work then no.

I am willing to bet you are the former so I say do it.

yeah, I'm rocking something like a 98 in there overall midway through the semester, so I don't think she'd take it as me mocking the course or anything. I think I've made up my mind...

ufez, as an instructor, I say, go for it. I'd laugh. It beats the smiley faces I usually see on papers/tests (which annoy me to no end actually).

It has to have been that someone deliberately gave up a question: on handing an anthropology quiz back the instructor told us, with a wry smile, 'Slash and burn is not a sacrificial rite....'
