Long day →[More:] Mrs. Doohickie had outpatient surgery to remove an ovary today. She had a hysterectomy about ten years ago but they left an ovary behind to provide hormones, but that started to act up and it was time to take that out too.

The plan was for her to be there at 10:30 am in anticipation of surgery at 12:30. The surgeon was running late, though, so things slipped. Then coming out of anesthesia took longer than expected with nausea and all that. It was past 7:00 pm when we finally got home. She's sore but okay and is resting now.

I'm glad I planned to take tomorrow off from work, cuz I'm bushed.
