Vegas for a conference. So I'm headed to Vegas next month for a conference. Where's the best place to stay for a wimp who hates to be away from her S.O. at night, and would like to sleep?
I dunno but the best buffets are at the Wynn. Trust me.

What is your budget, where is the conference, and what are your interests?

I stayed at the Westward Ho! which is a sort of ridiculous super-cheap hotel with 777 rooms [if I recall correctly]. It's on the strip but set way back so it was decently quiet. Vegas is sort of big and a little unwieldy so you should think about what's near the conference when you make your plans.

I've stayed in the Venetian and another that I honestly can't remember. What I do recall is that the rooms very utterly quiet. You couldn't hear the hooker getting murdered in the next room, assuming it was happening.

The Westward Ho! was gone when I was there last year, sadly. So many of the great old ones are gone. :-(

I have stayed at both the Riviera (which was across from Westward Ho) and the MGM. I don't recall having trouble sleeping in either place.

The conference is at the convention center. I get in around 4pm Day 1 & leave around 9AM Day 3, so I've got 1 day of mostly conference crap, which I plan to escape from for a tour of Zappos.
