You know what I need right now? This is what I need right now.→[More:]I need to go to a pleasant hotel, in a place that's way warmer than here (New England). I need to spend a week or two in said hotel, preferably with one of the guys I have a crush on, so that we can f like bunnies and order room service. That's what I need right now.

A hug. A real, full-on wrap-your-arms-around-me-and-hold-me-tight hug. I hug friends, but it's 'friend hugs', brief ones, not the kind of big hug I need sometimes. I lack physical contact with people in my day-to-day life, I know that.

I really really need it to not snow tomorrow. They are calling for at least 8 inches. I just can't cope with another day of trying to get home in the snow. I just can't. It makes me cry just thinking about it.

Yesterday I had this wicked urge to go to Disney World (perhaps they're sending out subliminal satellite signals or something). But with teacher lay-offs looming, I'm afraid to spend the money to even go to a movie, so that's out. Instead, I drank a couple stiff 7 & 7s. Similar effect to the Tea Cups.

Money enough to bring all of the people we want to the wedding and give them a good time.

A goddamn wedding dress for which I don't have to lay down a goddamn 150 bucks before I goddamn even see it in a form that is anywhere close to my goddamn shape and size. "Oh, no, we make the dress to order in the color and size you want." So you're saying that NOBODY, EVER, will find a use for a size [X] dress in Cabernet, and I can't back out? Go fuck yourselves.

Apparently I, too, need a vacation :P

A night of heavy drinking, commiseration and a day to recover in bed undisturbed with the snuggling of my cat. So much more than that but even that will be hard to come by. Maybe I can catch a break tomorrow for a few hours. Maybe something so consuming i can hide in it for a good long while, if there was something to be found.
I need a break and some kind of restoration to keep me from feeling like the unsightliest lost cause scuttling along the bottom of the ocean.
It's been a rough week.

As for what Melismata needs, I live just down the road from the perfect place. Too bad it's on the wrong coast for you. But then, to make the optimum use of it, I'd need somebody "into both tantric sex and fat guys", according to McSweeney's, per this post.

Maybe I'd get something finished if I didn't spend so much time giving TMI on MeCha.

A whole weekend to myself. A whole day all to myself would be OK too. But a weekend would be better. No small needy person tugging at me endlessly .. no stacks of dishes left in the sink by anyone other than me (I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU JUMBO, YES YOU) just some divine quiet all alone time.

It will never happen but I want it and need it.

A hammock in a tropically warm environment, a very boring such environment so that I really can't do anything, and a good stack of books, some of which I have to read and some of which I want to read, and definitely a long long time between me and any deadlines or work stress. About 10 years off my age, because I'm about where I kind of wish I was 10 years go.

I solved my snow problem -- I called in sick. This will likely negate the overtime I've already worked this week, but it was better than spending the day staring out the window and worrying and worrying about getting home. Snow's already started.

I don't need anything right now, dealing with chronic financial problems is exhausting but it's almost autopilot now so I'm really happy and thankful for all I've got.

I need... a leather-skinned, steely-eyed priest with a checkered past and an antique, hand-crafted copper tourine full of Holy Water. Guns. Lots of guns. A bigger boat. I need twice-baked Chili Rellenos stuffed with pulled pork and Dungeness crab meat, Apple Smoked Gruyere, and pickled jalapeños, resting on a bed of garlic-and-truffle sweet potato fries. Served with an un-opened bottle of añejo Patron and a bucket of limes. No - I don't need a glass, thank you. I need three or four Monkey's Lunch cocktails for desert. (That's Kahlua, Banana liqueur, and Milk, for the uninitiated, blended with plenty of ice. It's better than it sounds, I swear. Does a body good.) I need a briefcase full of unmarked hundred dollar bills, chocolate-covered peanut clusters, and Dilaudid. I need to wake up in the morning with a broken headboard and a mystery tattoo. A good lawyer and an alibi wouldn't hurt, either. Or at least a witness. Can I get a witness? And I need you. To do what needs to be done when the time is right.
