"Atlas Shrugged" trailer . Never thought anyone would actually do it.
Oh noes, this is only Part ONE.

Heh, opens April 15. That's a good one. I'll be there.

Maybe it will be like Rocky Horror, where kids will throw tea bags at midnight screenings for the next twenty years.

OMG! Agent Spender!
Black mormon from House!
And Jon Polito!
And QUARK!

So I guess we're not getting the Pitt/Jolie version, huh?

Also, I find it hilarious it's a movie about high-speed rail when that's one thing the Randroids would/are/have fought tooth and nail (too close to socialism).

Can one hope that this movie explodes the many misconceptions about Objectivism held by both tea partiers and liberals? Nah, but it don't matter anyway.

You are so right, Eide. I thought that was wild too. Guess they made the movie before the State of the Union address making it clear hi speed rail is an altruistic President's priority.

I suspect the reaction will be "Critics Shrugged".

Wow, that's pretty bad. Did George Lucas write the dialog?

This isn't a "real" movie, the producer was about to lose the rights to the property and had to start production before they expired so they made this quicky $5 million dollar place holder in a month with a D list cast and a TV actor as a director. Sort of similar situation to the Fantastic Four movie from the nineties.

producer was about to lose the rights

That explains why the dialog sounds like it came straight from the book.

I love the top-rated comment in the Youtube thread:

Are they going to include the part that explains that all the civilians in the train deserved to die because they were government leechers?

Speaking as someone who loves art created by insane people, I would watch the SHIT out of this.

I seriously would rather see a movie version of The Wealth of Nations than this insufferable tripe.
