This thing looks AWESOME. I don't even care that this guy seems like a total twit. Grownup treehouse, anyone?
I like the kind built outside myself.

I like it lit at night. I think a room like this would be really useful in a loft even if it wasn't a tea house. It's beautiful and just private enough.

Yeah, I think it looks lovely. And I agree about the cozy.

Seriously. What white guy goes and gives himself a Chinese name?

My dad once took flamenco classes from Ricardo Montes and La Rosa Spanish Dance Company. Turns out it was a guy named Jerry Vandeberg who gave lessons in his basement.

I knew someone who did this in a big warehouse space but with movable rice paper walls on tracks and curtains on pulleys. You could expand and contracts rooms and recombine them. it was more then a little magical.

I can't believe the NYT spelled Taoist as "Daoist."

Daoist is a legitimate alternate spelling (because it's all transliterated anyway) but it is odd because the Times usually spells it the other way, according to my lazy Google investigation. I wonder if they're switching maybe, to reflect more current usage...or this is just the telltale sign of a rogue copyeditor.

I like it, despite the twitedness. There are times when I crave just such a cozy, personal space. (Except I have too much stuff..and kids..and pets).
