And what's a good day to talk about next book? March 7?

Y'know, I usually read the book on the syllabus, but I end up too busy to participate in the comments/discussion. I tend to read the discussion as well but not contribute.

So, while I'll definitely read whatever comes next, I won't vote because it's unrealistic for me to think I'll be discussing in thread.

Hmm, I don't feel happy that it is just thankyouforyourconsideration and me in this thread, but will conclude The Bluest Eye and March 6 will be our decision. I'll gmail everyone and hope we actually do have a discussion on that date about this book - a wonderful one that I have read before. Hope you feel like jumping in this time, thankyouforyourconsideration.

I've refrained from weighing in this time. A combination of factors meant I wasn't [prepared to/able to] contribute to the book discussions for the last two books. Since there's every possibility I'll have the same conflicts this time, it doesn't seem fair to chime in during the decision-making process.

But I did enjoy reading the thread on The Crying of Lot 49! And now that the book is decided, I'll grab my copy and get cracking --- hope I can break my streak and make it to the discussion this time. Thanks for the heads-up!

Me too. Ridiculously busy these days; I enjoy the thread but don't pipe up. Some day life will be simpler.

I were you I'd stick with the Hungerford lineup, just for simplicity's sake.
