Watching the Puppy Bowl before making our way to a friend's Super Bowl party. And the big fluffy snow falling in Chicago right now.

The kid and I went to the playground today, and when she was on the swings she said "I want to sing a song!" "OK", I said, thinking that it would be another daycare song. She busted out a few lines of the Beatles' 'Good Day Sunshine'. Awesome.

My friend was out walking and dropped his cell phone about a mile from my apartment. A random woman found it, and called the last number dialed (me) to see whose it was and to arrange to get it back to him. She left it behind a pillar on the porch of a house that is empty and for sale, and I went and picked it up for him. Driving home, I came up behind him still walking, so I pulled over and honked to get him to the car and asked if he'd lost something. He hadn't even noticed yet.

Thanks again, nice stranger lady!

YES! Just seeing sunshine, blue sky, and temps of 40ish did a lot for my mood. Hit the gym for the first time in a couple weeks. Just a nice day.

This made me click on this video instead, which made me very happy.

("Temptation" is forever at war with Luna^2's "We're Both Confused" for best ever fade-in, in my mind. I can't help but smile when they arrive. Oh crap and B-52's "Mesopotamia", too.)

Dry feet made me happy today.

Ok, backstory is a 17km hike (10.5 miles) in the woods today. It was raining and pretty mucky but my waterproof boots did the job! Both of my friends had soaked feet about halfway through - not so pleasant for them.

My personal favorite fade-in of all time.

1. The Puppy Bowl. This is the first year I've Animal Planet and have watched it.
2. Organizing my Guild Vault. Yes, you would have to play WoW for you to understand this. :-P

Also my husband coming home with infant Tylenol in his hand made me pretty happy this evening -- the babe had been screaming all afternoon because she was feeling crummy from getting (count 'em) 1-2-3 shots plus the oral rotovirus vaccine today. I don't know if her little chubby thighs just hurt or what but she would not. stop. crying. for, like, two whole hours and nothing I was doing was helping. But the Tylenol did, so yay! Said babe is asleep on my lap now, thank goodness. Will dose her up again soon for sleepytime.
