01 February 2011

The Dems chose Charlotte for the 2012 convention. This makes me feel good for a reason that I cannot pinpoint.
Because they are boldly going where not so many Democrats tend to live?

Not many Democrats? Seems like the state's been about half and half in recent years, and of course went blue in 08.

Seems like a good idea. I think that there are a lot of younger professionals in those near-south states who may be a little conservative but are really turned off by the wacky tea-hadist types.

I had to move away from Denver a few months before the Dems convention there in 2008. So I guess this means I'll be leaving NC in early 2012. Good to get a heads up on these sorts of things.

LOL jeoc! & Miko's right: NC has been 50/50ish for awhile now. The closer to the cities, the bluer.

After hosting the NHL All Star weekend last weekend, I'm sort of glad the DNC shindig will be in Charlotte, not Raleigh.
