Thousands of bunnies [More:]are expected in Yorkshire for the UK's first ever Bunny Grand National.

The BBC reports: British rabbits had been in training to "take on serious international competition from four of Sweden's finest jumpers, who are flying in with their owners".

And why is this not being shown live on TV?
I wonder what kind of quarantine international performance bunnies have to undergo.

It's pretty complicated for performance horses traveling internationally (that is, horses going to a competition), and it's only a sort of light quarantine--plus health certificates, proof of various tests, etc--because they're performing. Pets have to undergo a much more thorough quarantine. And yet...performance bunnies.

I was pretty unimpressed until they showed the actual competition jumps. Wow!

Okay, who's gonna make the video of the competition highlights with a soundtrack of the Van Halen song "Jump"?
