A case of Penicillin-Resistant Nostalgia as the "Great Big Radio" oldies web radio station tonight played a 1977 aircheck of "Beaver Cleaver on The New 10-Q!" (to be repeated about 45 minutes from now)

In 1977, I was doing my "radio sidekick job" and wishing I were doing a high-energy high-wackiness deejay gig like "The Beaver". I met him briefly and learned his secret identity as Ken Levine, half of a writing team that at the time had just sold their first script to "M*A*S*H"... he went on to become a Producer on "M*A*S*H", "Cheers" and "Frasier" and a major league baseball announcer, totalling three of the top ten dream jobs I never had.
I still made me ROFLMAO me out when he intro-ed the Meko "Star Wars Medley" as "music from the movie of the year... Abbott and Costello meet Charles Manson... rated PG, bring the family".
Then looking at the GreatBigRadio.com website, I saw another familiar name, Keri Tombazian, who I also met in those days when she was DJing the mellow music on the FM while I was sidekicking the AM and had just broken up with William "Greatest American Hero" Katt and told me things about him that made it impossible to watch him act without giggling. Keri Tombazian's rebound BF was another one of the top ten dream jobs I never had.
Good thing I'm totally over with having dreams, or else I wouldn't be enjoying this Virulent Nostalgia Attack.
