I cannot STAND funk carioca. There are so many other kinds of Brazilian funk that deserve a listen. Maybe I'm biased because funk carioca has been pounded in my brain for so long and the lyrics are really horrendous. They are really really bad.

Oh, yeah. I know that there are more grown-up varieties of Brazilian music out there.

Right now, though, I'm in the mood for some obnoxious teenybopper music. Preferably in a language I don't speak or understand so the moronic lyrics won't offend my sensibilities.

My go to group for obnoxious foreign pop is Die Prinzen. This was the song that got me hooked.

Sadly, none of my incarnations have involved being a good looking balls out barfly. Sadly, this video reminds me of that fact. I'll go back to reading neuroscience in my quiet lonely study now. And be very sad.
