20 December 2010

I suspect from the emails I've gotten that there will be a lot more interest in this book than there was in Lost in the Funhouse. If Pynchon is what we read, or if it is something else from the syllabus, how does January 31 sound as next date for discussion thread?

Discussing Pynchon on January 31st sounds good to me.

Hey, a book I've actually read! I will be interested to see the discussion on this one.

Wow, haven't read that in almost 35 years. My mom gave it to me to read during a week at the beach when I was 12 or 13 along with copies of Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse 5. I didn't know at the time how cool my mom was.

I've been meaning to read that; I'm in.

Hmmm, I've just been thinking of reading that.

Yes. I read this over the summer. Not to say that I understood it. I'll be interested in the discussion. I may decide to re-read.
