'Little Drummer Boy' Help? So, yesterday, I was at the thrift store, and I heard the most awful, cheesegasmic, '80s-sounding fake drums and overwrought dude singer version of 'Little Drummer Boy' I've ever heard.

It wasn't Bowie/Crosby, of course, or Bob Seger. But who was it?

I started looking at allmusic and Youtube, but, honestly, I'm a little overwhelmed. I know there are a lot of Christmas-music lovers around here--any idea what I heard?

(Or, alternately, maybe you'd like to tell me your least-favorite Christmas song?)

Lou Rawls? It's my wife's least favourite xmas song! As for me, I especially loathe 'Wonderful Christmas Time' by Paul McCartney.

Mistletoe & Wine by Cliff Richard. I won't even include a YT link to it, to spare you the horror.

A close second is A Winter's Tale by David Essex. (Sorry David, I loved you when I was 15 but you killed it with this.)

Perumpumpumpum is one of the worst ear worms of all time. Of All Time, People!! When I die, I'll know I went to Hell if there's a tape loop of Little Drummer Boy, that horrible WiiiiildFiiiiire song, and Having My Baby. Gaaaah. Just thinking about it is a little time spent in Purgatory, right here at my desk.

Actually, work is Purgatory most of the time, but adding Perumpumpumpum makes it Even Worser.
