What Did I Just Make And Can I Name it? So after a few weeks not being able to smell anything and feeling terrible, I finally feel well enough to cook! Hooray ...but because of the aforementioned flupocalypse, I had nothing in ....[More:]

I had some left over gazpacho form almost a month ago (Gazpacho never goes bad, right? RIGHT?!) a big bag of spinach and a plastic baggie of leftover bacon cause that was the only thing I could force myself to make for days.

So I just ...put them together. Cooked the bacon, threw it into the soup and loaded it with shredded spinach.

It was good! But what was it?
Lunch.

Since there is no pre-existing name for that concoction, I suggest you lay claim to it and christen it Whelk Soup.

Dangerous. (I would expect the gazpacho to be fermented, like salsa that is too long in the fridge.)

It didn't smell fermented?

Oh and the spinach didn't wilt, it was fresh and crunchy and peppery. Very un-soup like but quite good, like (as danf said) the soup was being used as a salsa.
